Tourism Minister steps up efforts to make Malaysia a preferred tourist destination |

The Hon. Minister of Tourism, Dato' Sri Dr. Ng Yen Yen is holding a week-long meeting (July 12-18) to step up efforts to make Malaysia a preferred tourist destination, particularly during the current economic and health crisis. The Minister of Tourism will be holding the meeting with 43 overseas directors and marketing officers of Tourism Malaysia. The meeting will review the industry’s current performance, on-going promotional efforts, as well as future worldwide marketing strategies and activities. Regional markets that have continued to show growth were ASEAN, West Asia, Oceania and Europe while markets in China, Japan and South Korea registered a decline.
