The types of houses offer in Malaysia ranging from apartments to condominiums, terraced houses to semi-detached houses, bungalows to resort houses, situated in the town city centre, near beach, near jungle and recreation places, etc.

Landed Properties

Terraced House

It’s a row of identical or mirror-image houses share side walls. The first and last of these houses is called an end terrace, or end house or corner house, usually larger than those houses in the middle. Terraced house normally have open spaces at the front and back. Each row may consist of 10 to 12 units depending on the width of the house, as it have to comply with the regulations of the Fire Services Department that each row shall not exceed 130 feets.

Semi-detached House

Semi-detached house or often called as “Semi-D” consist of pairs of house built side by side as units sharing a party wall. Each house’s layout is normally a mirror image of the other one. Semi-D house have front, rear and any one side open spaces.

Bungalow

A bungalow is a type of stand alone building. It is also known as detached house. These detached houses have open spaces on all sides.

Apartment

An apartment is a self-contained housing unit that occupied only part of a building or a section in the building. The occupied share a common area like lobby, car park, lifts, etc. An apartment normally consist basic facilities like swimming pool and guarded.

Condominium

A condominium, or more commonly named “Condo”, is a form of house unit in a multi-unit dwelling building where each unit is individually owned and the common areas such as walkways, recreational facilities are jointly owned by the unit owners. The owners and occupiers of condominiums are subject to rules and regulations of the condominiums.

In Condominium, usually full facilities are provided like swimming pool, gym equipment, club house, CCTV, inter-com, guards which distinguished it from apartment type of living.

Condominium unit can be classified into several types:

  • Studio unit – consist mainly of a large room which is the living, dining, and bedroom combined. There are usually kitchen facilities as part of this central room, but the bathroom is its own smaller separate room. One-bedroom, two-bedrooms & three-bedrooms - where one bedroom, two or three bedrooms are separate for the rest of the condominium unit.
  • Penthouse – is a special unit that is at the top of the building and differentiate from others in the building by unique features such as outdoor terraces, private entrance or elevator, height ceilings, etc.
  • Duplex – is a single dwelling unit spread over two floors connected by an indoor staircase in a Condominium. Penthouse and Duplex are generally expensive and associated with a luxury lifestyle.

Build Your Own House – Bungalow Lot

You may choose to design and build your own house (some developer have ready design to choose from) if you purchase a ready bungalow lot from a bungalow development scheme. They are various lot sizes available (normally with at least 8,000 square foot). The lot has been converted for building use. Some of these bungalow development are within a golf course with club house facilities for residents to enjoy with membership fee.


Orchard House

The Orchard house normally comes with a land plot size of not less than an acre.

Orchard house (or homestead) is an exciting lifestyle development offering you with fruit orchard together with a village style house (some development offer own design house).
