FOREIGNERS can learn more about the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme and why people choose to come to Malaysia during talks by Andy Davison at The Star Property and Home Fair 2007 which starts today.

The 61-year-old Briton, who is the founder of The Expat magazine and the website www. mm2h.com, will speak on the basic rules of the programme, its terms and conditions, the foreigners who choose to live in Malaysia and other matters.

He will also speak on the attractiveness of the programme for Malaysia in terms of property purchase capability and foreign exchange.

His talks will be from 2pm to 3pm on Saturday and 11am to noon on Sunday.

Tropical Resort Lifestyle (MM2H) Sdn Bhd managing director Shotaro Ishihara will speak on Property & Landlords – Targeting the Japanese Market from 5pm to 6pm on Sunday.

He will speak on Japanese expatriates working in Penang who seek property near their work-place, Penang as a retirement destination for the Japanese under the MM2H, and long-stay Japanese visitors seeking short-term stays in condominium units.

He will also answer questions from developers on selling or renting property to the Japanese and what their expectations are, such as preferred location, facilities and space.
